25th Anniversary Recipes
Italian Tiramisu The 25th Anniversary celebration is certainly a special one. It's a time to reflect back on your time together and observe how your relationships have changed and grown over the years. Plus, it's also a time to celebrate and enjoy the good things in life, like this Italian Tiramisu. It's fabulous! 24 firm ladyfingers 2 cups espresso, cooled 6 eggs, separated 2 tbl granulated sugar 1 lb mascarpone 4 tbl brandy, rum, or bourbon 2 tbl triple sec cocoa powder Heat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange the ladyfingers on a baking sheet and toast them for maybe fifteen minutes. Put the espresso in a wide bowl and soak each ladyfinger briefly. Arraunge half the ladyfingers in a rectangular serving dish. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until the combo turns pale yellow. Add the mascarpone, brandy, and triple sec; stir to combine. In a separate bowl, beat the whites until stiff. Fold whites into the mascarpone mixture. Layer half the mixture atop the ladyfingers in the serving dish. Add another layer of ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mixture. Dust liberally with cocoa. Cover and refrigerate at least one hour before serving. Yields twelve to sixteen servings. The guests just adore this lovely dish. Careful though, it's strong stuff! |

The 25th Anniversary is a milestone wedding anniversary and therefore this Silver Celebration should be a party to remember. This could also be a celebration of 25 years at a particular job also. Spending a quarter century at anything is a reason to celebrate. Your invitations should have silver on them or even be a silver color. To decorate, use sparkly silver glitter on flowers, cards, centerpieces, gift wrap, balloons etc. For fun activities, put together a CD of their favorite music or songs from their era. Assemble a photo album with pictures highlighting 25 years together. Have guest tell their favorite story about the couple. As this will probably be a large celebration, you might want to think about having it catered or even having it in a restaurant or hall. That way you can enjoy your celebration without worry.
