One of the most popular types of 70’s cupcakes would have to be the smiley face cupcake. This is a fairly simple cupcake to make. Simply frost all of the cupcakes with white frosting or, another 70’s color such as purple. Once all of the cupcakes take a piping bag and draw a black circle onto the cupcake. Take yellow frosting and completely color in the black circle. Then, simply add the eyes and smiley mouth. The finished product will be the ultimate 70’s style smile.
If a smiley cupcake does not seem to fit for the perfect 70’s cupcake then why not create peace sign cupcakes. This type of cupcake is actually a little easier than the smiley face cupcake above. Simply frost your cupcakes white and fill in the middle of the cupcake with a peace symbol which is simply piped with a piping bag. The outside of the peace sign will follow along the edge of the cupcake. Next, make a vertical down the middle of the cupcake to dissect it. Then simply put a V on the bottom half of the circle. The color of the peace sign can either be tie dyed or it can be done psychedelic.
No matter the type of 70’s style cupcake that is chosen for the party it will surely become a big hit.
