70s Theme Party Banners
The 70s is known as a decade of peace, hope and love; why not take viewers back to a gentler, sunny time with a 70s party that comes complete with a festive 70s handmade centerpiece.
Peace and love are the concepts that one most commonly associates with the 70s, and thus should probably play a role in a homemade centerpiece for a 70s party. The host could create a collection of symbols that represent these ideals; such as plastic, paper mache or even blown glass versions of rainbows, unicorns, peace signs and a smiley face sunshine symbol. Using faux grass, flowers and trees as a backdrop, she could create a meadow scene that looks right out of a 70s film.
Another handmade centerpiece for a 70s party could embody any of these symbols individually. The host could place a tin peace sign, a unicorn of ivory glass, a multicolored paper mache rainbow, or a smiley sunshine of yellow clay at the center of the party table. This could be positioned on a party tray or platform surrounded by other pretty, peaceful emblems of the 1970s that double as party supplies, including various flowers real or faux (roses, carnations, daisies and sunflowers and white lilies might be particularly appropriate), bandanas in various bright hues, decorated models of vans, and miniature posters of popular music acts from that decade, including the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
Guests will love going back to a happier era at a 70s party; one that comes complete with a rockiní homemade centerpiece.
