A 70's party is time to disco! If it's a costume party, 70's fashion trends dictate flared pants and bell bottoms big hair, polyester leisure suits and, of course, big platform shoes. A Costume contest is a must. On your invitations, put lots of happy faces! This is the decade that launched the streakier, the Brady Bunch and the Smiley Face. For decorations, put up some posters and don't forget "Farrar Fawcett" and also "Mr. Natural." Try to find some bean bag chairs, beaded curtains, black lights, incense and a disco ball. The music will be easy as there are plenty of one hit wonders from the 70's. Food from the 70's for your party could include: deviled eggs, stuffed celery (with peanut butter or cheese), green and black olives, Jiffy Pop Popcorn, cocktail Weenies plain and wrapped in dough, Lipton onion soup mix and sour cream w/ chips, classic Chex mix, Fritos, cheese and cracker platter and Chicken Drummies / BBQ sauce.
