Peach Cobbler Recipe

For a sweet ending serve a dessert that includes the fruit that Georgia is famous for, peaches. Peach cobbler is the perfect dessert, and it is very easy to make.

To make peach cobbler use the following recipe.
4 cups of peeled, sliced peaches
2 cups sugar, divided
½ cup water
8 Tablespoons butter
1 ½ cups self rising flour
1 ½ cups milk
Ground cinnamon
Combine the peaches, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan. Mix well and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes and remove from heat. Place the butter in a 3 quart baking dish. Place the dish in an oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees and let the butter melt. Mix the remaining cup of sugar, flour, and milk together. Stir slowly to ensure that there are no clumps. Pour the flour mixture over the melted butter. Spoon the fruit on top of the flour mixture, and gently pour the syrup on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 30-45 minutes.

Serve the peach cobbler with whip cream or vanilla ice cream on top. Your guest are sure to love this sweet ending to a wonderful meal.
