Use the following recipe to make Maryland crab cakes.
1 pound of fresh crabmeat
2 slices of white bread cut into small pieces
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 Tablespoons parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon chopped onion
1 Tablespoon chopped celery
1 teaspoon mustard
1-3 dashes of hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all of the ingredients together until well blended. If the mixture is too dry, add more mayonnaise. Form into patties, and lightly dust with flour. Pan fry the crab cakes until golden brown on both sides. Serve immediately with tartar sauce or thousand island dressing for dipping sauce.
These Maryland crab cakes can be served as a side, or as an appetizer. You can make the patties as big or small as you want them to fit your needs. These are sure to be a hit at your next Ravens football party because no one can resist a good crab cake.
