You are very likely to have lots of family and friends in town for your child's Baptism Party. It might be a good idea to select a venue close to the church. Depending on the guest list, you could have it at a park or someone’s home. Whichever way you choose to go, it will be important to plan ahead and get out the invitations in plenty of time for guests to plan a trip or block off that day in their calendars. A morning Baptism could be followed by a buffet lunch, or an early afternoon service could be followed by an afternoon tea. You should have drinks available to toast the baby's health. If you decide to have the party at your house, a simple buffet spread would suffice with lots of different choices. If the weather is nice, a backyard barbeque would be great. That way the older children will be able to run and play games. If the party is indoors, you could set up a room with children’s videos playing. Of course there will be gifts and a Baptism cake in white with white frosting topped with the baby's initials.
