Captain America Theme Party, bypass the conventional apple pie and fix up an apple cake with cream cheese frosting. For, while pie is dandy, apple cake is an unexpected treat that might be even sweeter; especially when topped with sumptious and delectable cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients:
1 cup canola oil
2 cups sugar
2-1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups chopped and peeled
tart cooking apples
1 cup chopped pecans
How to Prepare:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine a mixture of oil and sugar. Beat in the eggs. Sift together all dry ingredients and add to the egg mixture. Mix in the chopped apples and bake in a 13x9-inch pan for 55 minutes. Cool and ice with the cream cheese frosting.
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
Make sure that all ingredients are at room temperature.
Ingredients:
1 pound confectioner's sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup pecans, chopped
How to Prepare:
In a large bowl beat the sugar, cream cheese and butter until all ingredients are whipped and smooth.
Add the vanilla and stir in the pecans.
At the Captain America party, parents and kids might work together to make this cake; all the while sharing Captain America trivia facts. Then everyone can sit down together to enjoy this tasty treat, perhaps while watching cartoons or reading comics that feature their favorite patriotic hero!
Captain America Party Supplies with a Theme Party
Captain America theme parties are very fun for young boys and a few girls that like him as well. Captain America is a comic book, movie and cartoon that has been around for a few years. This party theme can be surfaced around the cartoon and the lovely colors that are used. The colors that can be used are red, white and blue which everyone sees every single day. Send patriotic little masks to the guests. Just keep the colors red white and blue then start decorating your area more.
Starts decorating the Captain America place with red, white and blue balloons then start some of the streamers. Hang them from the ceiling and use a door as the little hide out door entrance. Since every kids likes games try and let them play some freeze tag with shields that they make out of cardboard. Letting them build their own shield would be a blast. This will let them know that they can protect themselves from anything. Then when that is all said and done they can start doing something else as well.
Another Captain America idea is to let them build a nice throwing disk that is red, white and blue. This can be the captain America shield that he carries, but let them make huge one so that it can be used as a nice little souvenir in the yard or around the house. Letting the kids build something nice is a great party surprise and they will enjoy it.
