For an interesting twist with party themes take the Christening
Party Supplies mixed with another theme creating a unique
event. Christening is a common practice in Christianity when the children are initiated into religious life through infant baptism which involves either a ritual immersion or water being poured over the infant's head. This infant Baptism is usually performed by your church's clergy and can involve a sprinkling of water on the infant or full immersion in the water. Traditionally the parents will invite close friends and family to the church and will dress the child in an embroidered or lacey white gown. You may wish to return home afterwards to have a small reception, perhaps outdoors if you have a garden and make use of white and gold in your plates, napkins and table cloth. The garden will make a perfect place to celebrate the birth and life of infant being baptized. Make your Theme

Baby Quiche
Quiche lovers will certainly enjoy these Baby Quiche at your Christening Party. They are aptly named and will certainly quell the appetites of hungry guests long enough to congratulate the happy parents.Prepare a double batch of pie crust or purchase a pie
crust mix. Roll out and cut in circles using a donut
cutter or cooking cutter. Place circles into bottom
of muffin pan so that pie crust curls up the sides by
about 1/4 inch. Fill with any combo of filling. I
used bacon, mushrooms, onions, and swiss for one
filling. The other was broccoli, onions and cheddar
cheese. Place just enough filling so it does not go
above lip of crust. Beat 2 eggs and 3/4 cup sour
cream. Spoon 1 teasp. of egg mixture over each
quiche.
Bake for 20-25 min in 375 oven.
Reheat defrosted quiche for 10 min in a 400 oven. Having been a fan of 'adult' sized quiche for years, I've recently started making up Baby Quiche for my big parties and events too. They are cute and good at the same time

The Ritual surrounding a Christening Party and ceremony will depend on the beliefs of the parents and the extent to which they want to celebrate. One thing for sure, it will be a joyous party for friends and family to come together. The age range for this celebration will be from baby to grandparents and beyond. This occasion is usually the time when the child is officially named and also Godparents chosen. The invites need to go out about a month beforehand to ensure that people are free. The party itself could be close to the church or at a public restaurant or in someone’s home. If the weather permits, an outdoor party would be fun and easy to plan. Decorate with everything white to match the baby's gown like doves, crosses, candles and lots of streamers and balloons. Have outdoor activities for the older children. You could plan a brunch which is simple and could be prepared ahead of time. Serve bagels and cream cheese, waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, French toast, and lots of breads and croissants. End this party with a Christening Cake.
