A clown cupcake cake is simple and easy to create. To begin, purchase a 10” round cake pan from a local party supply store. You will also need; licorice, chocolate chips, peanut butter cups, and, multiple colored candy sprinkles. Starting with the cake, start at the top center and create the eyes of the clown by placing the peanut butter cups upside down as well as 3 in apart. Next, take another cupcake and cut it down the center and then proceed to pain it red then place it in the middle of the cake. Use the chocolate chips to create freckles for your clown. Then, take the licorice and split them apart and create the smiley mouth of the clown. The cupcakes should be frosted and decorated with sprinkles and placed above the clown head to create the hat.
Another great clown cupcake idea would be to simply create a clown cupcake. Take the time to frost the cupcakes and colored icing to create the eyes, nose, and mouth of a clown. Another great idea would be to draw two crisscross eyes near the top of the cupcake. Something like a red gum drop or even a gumball can be used to create the nose of your clown. Multicolored gumdrops or even gumballs can be placed along the top of the cupcake to create the hair.
Clown cupcakes will surly bring a smile and a giggle to any child’s face on their next birthday.
