Ideas for
Detroit Lions Centerpieces To make Detroit Lions homemade centerpiece start by selecting the arts & crafts materials needed. Use various arts & crafts materials such as felt, craft sticks and glue, craft foam, pom poms chenille stems, feathers etc. Design a centerpiece that is fun but relatively simple to make. Take Styrofoam black and place craft sticks with various pictures or cut outs of the Detroit Lions players. Glue the cutouts on the craft sticks and insert in the craft foam. Cutouts can be of general football items such as footballs or goal posts. Cut the football items from felt as well. One idea is to cut Lions player picture from magazine, glue to a thin piece of cardboard taped to a craft stick. This is a simple way to showcase the Lions players in the centerpiece. for a more personal touch, cut out helmets, footballs, and other football items from grey and blue felt. Use silhouettes images to simplify the cutting process. For example, cut a silhouette of a football helmet in silver or blue, and cut out a number of a Detroit Lions player and place it on the helmet with glue. Simple cutouts are a great way to get the children involved in the centerpiece process. Once the craft sticks are place in the craft foam or Styrofoam, use curling ribbon, balloons, Mylar or tissue paper to cover the base of the centerpiece. This simple centerpiece should take no more than a day’s work.
