Fiesta Recipes
Fun Stuffed Tortillas Everyone loves a good Fiesta. Try making your food Fiesta great with these stuffed tortillas. They are easy to whip up and that tangy cream cheese just makes a good party dish. 6 flour tortillas Salsa (optional) 1 pkg (12-16 oz) cream cheese (softened) 1 1/2 tbl chopped black olives 4 jalipinios chopped fine 1/4-1/2 tsp chili powder 3/4 tsp seasoning salt Mix softened cream cheese, olives, jalipinos, chili powder, and seasoning salt. Spread a thin layer on tortilla going all the way out to the edges. Roll tortilla. Repeat for each tortilla. At this point you can either put them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator and save until you are ready to serve them, or serve immediately. Cut into 1/2" slices before serving. Can be dipped into salsa. |

To plan a Fiesta Party, start with invitations made in the shape of chili peppers or Sombreros. Have your guests come in appropriate Fiesta attire. Your decorations will be wreaths of Chili peppers, fiesta balloons, inflatable cactus and strings of Fiesta Lights. Use tin candles for the center of the tables and use fiesta confetti and red glow glasses to finish off the look. Hire a Mariachi Band as music plays a big part in the success of your party and don't forget the maracas as everyone will want to play them. A bull piņata is always a fun activity.
