Golf Recipes
Golf Rum Balls Classic Rum Balls will delight the guests at your Golf Party. Plus, if you roll them around in powdered sugar, they'll look just like little golf balls you can snack on. Warn the guests not to confuse them with the real thing! 1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs (about 50 cookies) 1/4 cup Bacardi dark rum 80 proof 1/4 cup honey 8 oz. (2 cups) ground walnuts confectioner's (powder) sugar Combine all ingredients, except sugar, blend thoroughly. Shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter. Roll in sugar. Store in tightly covered container. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen. These are just cute. I make up a batch every Christmas, but they'd be good for other holidays too. |

A Golf Party is a fun way for a golf enthusiast or fan to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion. Take younger children to a local miniature golf course. Take teens to a real driving range and putting green. Stop at a pizza parlor on the way home or have a spread ready when the guests arrive. The invites could have golf balls and or tees on them or even the 18th hole. Decorate the house with pictures of golfing and balloons of white, green and yellow. You could even hang golf balls from the ceiling for an interesting effect. The games and activities would all be related to golf such as miniature golf in the back yard, or match stats to photos or names of famous golfers.
