Green Lantern Recipes

Go green with Curtido Cabbage Salvadore, a healthy and tasty recipe to honor and celebrate the Green Lantern Green Lantern Theme Party . After all, what better way to celebrate an all-powerful super hero than with a nutritious dish that will energize kids to go out and perform their own heroic deeds; or, at least, to make it through a day of school.

Ingredients:
1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
2 small carrots, grated
1 small onion, sliced
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper
1/2 teaspoon Oregano
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Water

How to Prepare:
Blanch the cabbage with boiling water for 1 minute before discarding the water.
Put the cabbage in a sizable bowl and add grated carrots, sliced onion, red pepper, oregano, olive oil, salt, brown sugar, vinegar, and water.
Place in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving.
