Depending on which Holiday you are celebrating, that will be your theme: Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving, 4th of July or any other holiday. Indicate on your invites the type of party: cocktail, dinner and also what the holiday you are celebrating. Cheap chic is the name of the game when hosting a great party. Stock up on serving trays and bowls and spray them with wintry colors like white, silver, gold or cranberry and decorate with sexy lighting with lots of tea lights and Christmas lights. There must be plenty of fun food to soak up all the boozy holiday cheer. Appetizers to start, try shrimp cocktail, cheese and cracker platters with various fruits, small quiche or tiny pizzas, various salads such as mixed greens and Caesars. Here's a great one: Melt Brie Cheese and sprinkle with raisins, walnuts, and brown sugar. Serve with Wheat Thins. The main course could be Roast Beef, Turkey or Pasta. For dessert try making parfaits by filling empty glasses with brownies, custard, toasted almonds and caramel sauce.
