Celebrating Independence Day with a party is a great way to symbolize America's freedom. Your invitations could reflect this freedom with 'Uncle Sam', 'Lady Liberty' or the American Flag. You could even have Uncle Sam welcoming the guests at the door. Red, White and Blue balloons and streamers everywhere will be the perfect decorations. You could also place a lot of flags around the rooms and on the walls. To entertain the kids and the adults plan a few fun activities and games. Pin the hat on Uncle Sam is one such game and if weather permits, it always fun to play outdoor games such as horseshoes for the adults and races for the kids. Prizes could be miniature flags. For your Independence Day menu think all-American with hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, Cole slaw, fruit salad, macaroni and cheese, pizza etc. And for dessert 'the all-American favorite, apple pie and ice cream.
