Mint's the Kids Can Make! Let the kids get involved at this Kids Party with an interactive recipe. You can start the event by making up these Mint's the Kids can Make. Let the tasty treats cool in the fridge and finish up your party by snacking on these candies while watching a movie together. 1 3-oz pkg cream cheese at room temperature. 4 drops food coloring 1 tsp flavoring extract as above 1 T milk Stir the above together until well mixed then add 1 lb confectioner's sugar Mix all the sugar into the cream cheese mixture, kneading it with your hands. When completely mixed, roll into a large sausage. Break off small amounts and roll into balls, about 1" diameter. Place balls on waxed paper, and press flat with fork dipped in confectioner's sugar. Let dry until tops are just dry, then flip and dry out underside. Store in airtight container so they don't dry out any further. Yields 80-90 mints. My kids had so much fun making these mint's. We snipped the recipe out of some ad somewhere and haven't stopped making them! |

Having a kids party is simple and fun with so many possibilities. Here are some exciting ideas: Pony rides, clowns, characters, trains, and bouncy houses. The theme could be any idea that the guest of honor wants from Thomas the train to Superman to Princess or just dress up in your favorite costume party. The invitations will reflect the theme chosen, say it's superman, then the invites will have Superman on them or whatever other theme. Decorations will be along the same lines. Take the theme into the party ware and party favors as well. For fun activities and games here are a few to try: pin the tail on the donkey, egg race. Musical chairs, button button that’s got the button, duck duck goose, piñatas, decorating giant cookies with icing and accoutrements like chocolate chips, sprinkles, candies and licorice. Prizes could be candies or stickers. At the end everyone will receive a goody bag to take home. Have lots of snacks like goldfish, chips, popcorn, and then serve tiny sandwiches or hamburgers and hot dogs with French fries and possibly pizza. Desserts will be easy and fun with cupcakes and ice cream. Place candied sprinkles on the cup cakes for the most fun ever. Kids Party Supplies
