Red velvet cupcakes are not only perfect for a Lobersterfest they are also very easy to make. The following ingredients will make superb red velvet cupcakes: 1 2/3 cups sugar;2 eggs; ½ cup butter or margarine;1 ½ cups of buttermilk;1 teaspoon red food coloring; 1 teaspoon vanilla; 1 tablespoon white vinegar;2 cups flour;1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda; ½ cup unsweetened cocoa, 1 dash of salt. Prior to mixing the ingredients preheat the oven to 350° and line two cupcake pans (12 each) with decorative cupcake liners perfect for a Lobsterfest. First in a large bowl mix the butter and sugar together using a mixer until it is very fluffy. Then add the eggs, buttermilk, flour, cocoa, salt, vanilla, food coloring, vinegar and baking soda into the bowl and mix thoroughly. Then spoon into the cupcake pans and bake for approximately twenty to twenty-five minutes (checking after twenty minutes). After the red velvet cupcakes have cooled add butter cream or cream cheese icing. At this point, the cupcakes can be personalized. For example, Lobsterfest cupcake toppers along with various candies and gummy treats can be added to give the cupcakes a distinct look. Additionally, the cupcakes can be decorated with colorful sprinkles or just simply topped with buttercream or cream cheese frosting. Regardless of how the cupcakes are decorated, most people will agree that having a variety of Lobersterfest party supplies along with great food and drinks will make the event complete.
