Yellow Cupcake Recipe Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour - leveled
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350degrees and line the cups in a standard pan with paper liners. Add foil liners if wanting an extra pizzazz.
Whisk together salt, flour and baking powder in a small bowl. Mix together the milk and vanilla in a measuring cup.
With an electric mixer and in a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes. One at a time, add the eggs in paying special attention to beat eac one in well. Turn the mixer down to low and add in half the dry ingredients and the all of the milk mixture and then the rest of the dry ingredients.
Place cupcake batter in the pan holes, about 2/3 the way full and cook for 20-25 minutes. Create ouroke frosting by taking any vanilla icing and adding red and blue food coloring to it. About 3 drops of each should do it.
