New Years Eve is the perfect time for a great party. Planning ahead is the key to having a successful party. Decide on a location, either public or private and then send out your fun invitations with New Year’s Eve theme on them such as party hats, blow-outs, confetti etc. Decorate your party location with lots of black and silver balloons and fine silver ribbons. Have a good supply of noisemakers, party hats, blow-outs, top hats and plastic glasses for your guests. String white lights across the ceiling to add a festive feeling to your party. Put black cloths on your tables and then spill silver confetti on them around the serving dishes. Music will be an important part of this party so hire a band or a disc jockey or record your own music. A few fun games could be charades, events of the past year charades, new years resolutions guessing game (who wrote which resolution). Great food will be a major part of a fabulous party so plan on either having it catered or prepare it yourself by making some of the following: snack foods such as chips, dips, nuts, pretzels, popcorn and appetizers which can be followed by some wonderful buffet foods such as: lasagna, pastas, chicken, ribs, roast beef, salads, vegetables, fruits, and side dishes. Beverages will include alcoholic ones as well as soft drinks for those who want it. Also have plastic martini glasses for a midnight toast and some inexpensive champagne. The party will end with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
