New England Patriots Recipes

Start the next New England Patriots game off right with a variety of quiches at your guest’s disposal. This easy to follow recipes will be the highlight of your next New England Patriots Theme Party.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups - heavy cream
10 each - large eggs
(2) 1/2 tsp. - salt
(2) 1/4 tsp. - ground black pepper
1/8 tsp. - nutmeg
2 Tbsp. - fresh tarragon; stripped and chopped coarse
1 cup - mushrooms; sliced, sweated and cooled
1 each 3 oz. bag - baby spinach; sweated and cooled
1/4 cup - sun-dried tomatoes; julienne
1 bundle - asparagus; trimmed, sliced on bias, cooked until tender, shocked in cold water, then drained
1 bundle - broccoli; cut into small pieces, cooked until tender, shocked in cold water, then drained
1 cup - red peppers; sweated and cooled
2 Tbsp. - finely chopped parsley
1 cup - leeks; sliced, washed, sweated and then cooled
1/2 lb.- bacon; cooked crisp, drained well, chopped, then cooled
1 1/2 cup - shredded yellow cheddar cheese
1/2 cup - shredded white cheddar cheese
1/2 cup - shredded Parmesan cheese
4 each - single frozen pie crusts, thawed and unfolded

Instructions:

Let the pie crusts soften and then press them into baking pans. Re-chill the crusts and then bake them at 325 degrees until they are firm but not browned.

Custard: Combine eggs and cream in a large bowl using a whisk. Be sure they are combined very thoroughly.

In two bowls, divide the egg mixture evenly and add the spinach filling items (spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, tarragon and white cheddar cheese)in the first bowl and then the broccoli items (red peppers, leeks, bacon, broccoli, yellow cheddar cheese, salt, pepper and parsley) into the second bowl. Fold the ingredients into the custard and then pour them into the individual pie crusts and bake for an hour at 325 degrees. The quiche will be done when it is puffed in the center and browned on the edges.

Let the quiches cool for about 15-20 minutes, cut into smaller pieces and serve.
