If you belong to or just want to attend, A Red Hat Party, you will have to bring your silliest nature with you. Laughing and fun is the recipe for a Red Hat Party. The color of this theme party are red and purple so be sure to incorporate them into your invitations, decorations and party favors. As ladies belonging to the Red Hat Society get together for tea, this might be a great idea. Have your guests come dressed in red hats and purple dresses. Stage a contest where there will be winners in several categories such as: most beautiful hat, silliest hat, best all round outfit, worst outfit etc. Give red hearts as prizes or miniature red hats. Another game you could play is the candy game where you try to guess the number of candies in the jar. Another version of this is to offer a bowl of candies to each lady as they come in. Later they must tell a story about themselves for every candy taken. This party could be staged in a restaurant or at someone’s home. A tea party would be most appropriate. Have dainty little sandwiches, scones with jam and butter and lots of delicious desserts such as pastries, cup cakes, cookies, brownies and don't forget the red velvet cake.
