Retirement Party Supplies
Retirement Party Supplies
For an interesting twist with party themes take the Retirement
Party Supplies mixed with another theme creating a unique
event. Retirement parties are much deserved after years spent in the work force. Those close to their 60th birthday are likely close to retirement. For a party of this type think about what your guest of honor likes. Is there a certain hobby they will be taking in their extra time? Is he into Golf? Make up a cake in the shape of a golf ball or roll out some astroturf to walk on and set up a little put-put game. Designate someone to be his caddy for the day. Or if she comes from Maine, make it into a lobsterfest and give everyone those plastic bibs with red lobsters on them. Have a Red Velvet cake in the shape of a lobster claw or lobster. You can give him a pink slip to signify his working days are gladly over. Make your Theme
party original!

Stuffed Artichoke Pastries
That Retirement Party deserves some extra special treats for the guests of honor. You'll find that you are just as honored as anyone with these delightful Stuffed Artichoke Pastries. They are just oh so creamy and tasty.
1 PKG frozen pastry shells (6), defrosted
8 oz. Chevre cheese, crumbled or feta cheese
1/4 cup cut up onion slices
8 ounces marinated artichoke hearts, drained & chopped
2 Tablespoons sliced black olives
grated paremasan cheese
Stack 3 pastry shells together & roll them out to
measure 8" (this makes a big one you can do it like
this & have people cut off a slice or make little
ones).
Place pastry on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
When you defrost shells don't let them get too soft -
just so they are still chilled.
Combine the next 4 ingredients & place in center of
pastry leaving a 1" border along the edge. (you can
also add some garlic to the mixture)
Roll out the remaining shells in the same fashion &
place over the filling. Press & sel the edges with
the tines of a fork. Scallop them in a decorative
fashion. Pierce top with fork & brush tip with a
little water & sprinkle with a little grated parmesan
cheese.
You can either bake it now or put it in the fridge
until the next day if need be.
Bake in a 400 oven for about 25 minutes or until top
is a deep golden brown. place in a platter & cut
into wedges to serve. Serves about 6. I like puff pastries of all kinds and will make up these Avocado stuffed pastries with other things like Baklava and cheesy puffs.

A retirement party is a significant milestone and a wonderful party to plan and have. Your theme could be something that the Retiree likes to do, for instance: golf, tennis or basketball. On the invites you could place a picture of the retiree doing his favorite past time and say something "George is going to have a lot more time to .......................... Please come join us to celebrate." This could be an office party or at someone’s home. If it's golf, carry this theme throughout the party with the decorations etc. Be sure to include the co-workers who know him/her so well. Ask co-workers and friends to say a few nice words. Begin this toast with a humorous story. You could also have friends and family write a poem about the retiree and present these to him/her as a gift and put them in a scrapbook. The retiree's employer should provide a sincere gift but friends can give humorous gifts. If held in an office, this party might be catered but if at home a nice buffet would be lovely with: roast beef, chicken, ham, spaghetti and meat balls, lasagna, macaroni and cheese and all the side dishes including: salads, veggies, fruits and breads. Have plenty of desserts and of course a cake with a caricature of the retiree on it.
