Get ready for some roaring fun when you have a Safari Party. Your invitations will say something like "this is your passport to a fun safari expedition which will take you through jungles of ..............street (africa). Tell your guests to come in the appropriate attire and practice their wild aninal sounds, especially roaring like a lion. Deck your safari theme party room with safari-colored balloons (brown, tan, green and yellow) party favors and streamers. Place life sizes animal statues around the party room and have signs like: Simbabwe ----> 100 mi., Ngororgoro-------> 399 mi. Draw big animal foot prints on your driveway leading to your front door. When your guests arrive at your Safari theme party, have them report to the Med booth for their malaria pill (jelly bean) from a jar with big red cross on it. Then give them a typhoid shot (toy needle). Fun games could include: animal charades, animal pinata, pin the tail on the lion etc. Prizes could be toy binoculars, or small stuffed animals. Here are some cool safari theme party food ideas: animal stripped pizza, pigs in a basket (hot dogs), french flies (fries), peanut butter and jellyphant sandwiches, toad-slaw, monkey meal (banana on a bun), and snake dogs (cut dogs half way through and fill with ketchup, mustard and relish. For drinks there will be Alligator-ade (gatorade), Swamp Juice (green punch with pop rocks). The ending will be a fun animal cake like a girafe wtih the colored icing.
