San Francisco 49ers are known for their bright scarlet red and gold uniforms that light up a stadium. All party supplies should have the team’s colors in them in some shape or form and the food presented at the party should be themed too. A great way to make sure the team colors are noticed and the food is pulled directly into the football theme is to create San Francisco 49ers cupcakes.
The San Francisco 49ers colors are very bold and aesthetically demanding – so should the cupcakes be. In order to do this, it is important to start off with the boldest color that is available and that color would be red. While many themed cupcakes would have the whole top iced in one color, it is fun to mix colors or partially cover cupcakes in color.
First, ice the top of the cupcake in stark white frosting, leaving a flat top. Next take a thin tip and apply red icing in a zig-zag format on the whole top face of the cupcake, over the white. Next, create the logo. Do this by first piping a black oval and coloring it in. If desired, just fill in the area necessary to create the black. Filling in the whole oval, however, gives a nice raised look when it is finished. After the black is done, do the same with the gold and then again with the scarlet red.
Finally, add the S and the F to the top of the red area. Be sure to overlap the S like it is in the logo. A way to make sure all cupcakes are uniform is to create a template to use with spray icing. Once it is sprayed down, it can then be piped and filled in as deemed necessary.
