Gooey Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies Thomas the Tank Engine is so wholesome and helpful, everyone loves him. As a parent you can feel good about serving these good for you and tasty too, Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies at this themed party. The kids will love them if you serve them up warm. Cream: 1 cup Crisco 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup light brown sugar Add: 2 beaten eggs 1 tsp vanilla flavoring Sift together and add : 1 3/4 cup flour with 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda Add to creamed mixture: 2/3 cup oatmeal (quick cooking) 1 cup nuts (optional) 1 pkg chocolate chips (I use 6 ounce package) Drop by teaspoonsful onto baking sheet. Bake at 350F, 12-15 minutes. Got this recipe from a friend and I've never had oatmeal cookies that were so smooth or chocolatey. |
