Those Veterans deserve a special day in their honor. If you are helping to put together a Veterans Day party for those former soldiers try out this Beer Cheese Soup on the buffet. It will delight any who try it.

A little beer in my favorite dish makes this soup just right. You've gotta' try it.

A Veterans Day Party is an opportunity to celebrate something important and have fun. Use your red, white blue decorations left over from July 4th and add some balloons, streamers and American flags. Other decorations that work well for this celebration are eagles, liberty bells and giant stars of sliver and dark blue. You might have a war veteran in your family who can come in uniform and share stories but if not try to remember members of your family who have served and share a few moments of silence to remember them. Karaoke might be a fun activity as some of the guests might be a little older and singing will get the party started. A piņata livens up the dullest of parties with everyone wanting to take a whack at the piņata. For the food section of this party, a nice buffet table with lots a great food including: roast beef, chicken, ribs, pork chops, salads, vegetable dishes, fruits and side dishes such as macaroni and cheese, ravioli, rice and potatoes. For dessert a patriotic cake with red, white and blue icing will add the finishing touch to this wonderful party.
