Dust off your cowboy hat, pull out your cowboy boots and chaps and have a Western Party. For your invitations you could create a "wanted" poster and tie it with a bandanna or any country/western motif on the card inviting guests to a "Hoedown." Decorate with bales of Hay, plastic cactus and plastic snakes. Have your guests dress appropriately and give prizes for the most original, funniest and worst cowboys and cowgirls. Games and activities might include roping fake steer contests, barrel races, and musical hats. Playing country western music will add to the atmosphere and you could hire a caller to do line dances. Use real cactus for centerpieces on the tables. Wrap napkins with red bandannas and use cowboy hats lined with bandannas and fill them with chips. Have the dip on the side. Food for your Western Party should be anything barbequed like chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, or steak. Also try a variety of salsa, chips, and other dips. For dessert serve cup cakes with candy cowboy hats or boots.
