Israeli Stew This exotic stew from Israel will be a great way for your family to observe Yom Kippur at dinnertime. It takes a while to cook so be sure to get a start on it early in the day. 5 cup Trader Joe's maranara and the rest water 1 1/2 cup Great northern beans 1 cup wheat berries 6 small potatoes -- cut in half 1 large onion -- sliced 4 clove garlic -- minced 5 tsp cumin -- ground 3 tsp tumeric 1/2 tsp black pepper -- ground 2 green peppers Mix together all ingredients in crockpot. Cook at high 8 to 10 hours. I do have some trouble finding ingredients for this stew, but it's really good when I can make it. |
